Frequently Asked Questions about the Web & RedDot

Why does your office have to approve every change I make to my Web site?

We don’t look to approve the actual content of what you have on your site, but we are interested in preserving the visual style of the University’s Web presence and assisting editors with formatting problems as they arise.

To that end we do look over all changes made to Web sites in the RedDot content management system on a daily basis. If there are any problems we will either fix them ourselves and publish the page or contact departmental editors and assist them with correcting the issue.

Changes are reviewed and approved at the end of the day and are published to the public site shortly thereafter. If an urgent change needs to be made public immediately, contact us and we will work with you to that end.
