Southeast senior Danielle Anderson, of University City, Mo., has a packed schedule.  Not only will she be graduating with a degree in technical graphics, but she also just became a mom to her new son, Michael.  Danielle has loved her experience attending Southeast.

“Being a student at Southeast has turned me into a well-rounded person,” Danielle says.  “It has required me to step outside of my comfort zone and meet new and different people from all overᾰsomething that would not have happened had I stayed in the St. Louis area.”

Danielle has had ample opportunities to meet new friends at Southeast at events such as CaSemoe, Spa Night, Bingo, SemoPoluzza, and many others.  Danielle says they have been a great way to get away from her studies and hang out with friends.

Danielle is also a student employee in the Office of Student Development.  She has her sights set on attaining an MBA after graduation and working for Maxis or Electronic Arts as a 3-D animation artist.  Her love of graphic design explains why Danielle also likes to spend some of her free time playing Play Station 2 games or tinkering around on her computer.  She also loves to read and spend time with the people she loves, especially her son.

People skills are just one of the many qualities Danielle will take away from her college experience at Southeast.  Danielle also feels Southeast has prepared her for life after graduation, especially with her plans for a career in 3-D animation.

“Southeast has prepared me for the professional world,” Danielle explains.  “The skills that I have attained such as problem-solving, critical thinking and learning how to work in teams will help me to be successful in my career.”

Danielle loves to travel, especially to Orlando, Fla., because of the recreation opportunities it offers, not to mention the warm Florida sun and inviting Floridian landscape.  One day, Danielle would like to take a cruise and visit some of the Caribbean islands or take in the sites of New York City.

Danielle offers this advice to future Southeast students: Manage your time wisely and get involved in the campus and all Southeast has to offer.
