Name:  Kerby Icenogle

Hometown:  Ballwin, Missouri

Year in College:  Senior

Extracurricular Activities: I am a member of Alpha Phi Omega - Beta Psi Service Fraternity, where I have served as Historian and 1st Vice-President. I am also a member of The Social Work Club.

Inspiration to major in Social Work:  My inspiration for social work came from involvement with Bethany Christian Services, the organization through which my family adopted my youngest brother. I tried other majors but found that Social Work was best for me because I like problem solving and finding creative ways to meet the needs of every individual.  A social worker had done this for my brother - by finding a forever home for him within my family - and I found that my heart was focused on helping children find permanent homes.

Career Interests:   My career interests are in adoption (private and public) and healthcare. After graduation I plan to attend graduate school for a master's in social work with a concentration in healthcare or children and familites. I hope to work in adoptions at the public or private level or in the healthcare setting.
