Regents to Consider Residence Life Budget, Room And Board Rates For Fiscal 2012
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., March 24, 2011 -- The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents will consider the fiscal 2012 Residence Life budget and room and board rates when it meets at 1:30 p.m. March 25 in Glenn Auditorium of Robert A. Dempster Hall.
The Regents also will consider fiscal 2012 rental rates for non-traditional housing.
In other action, the board will consider approving an NCAA Self-Study Report; a revised refund policy for incidental, general and course fees to take affect for Summer 2011; a resolution for System Facilities Refunding Revenue Bonds Series 2011; and a schedule of major capital projects and maintenance and repair items for fiscal 2012.
The Regents also will consider approving several academic program changes: a new minor in agriculture/horticulture entrepreneurship, a new minor in autism studies; and a new Certificate of Healthcare Facilities Operations.
The Board will consider approving resolutions of honor for University retirees, the 2010 football team and for head football Coach Tony Samuel.
The Regents will hear the President’s Report which will include a report on the University of 2020 Initiative, updates on balancing the budget and bond-funded capital projects; and a report on academic program items, including statewide academic program review, course redesign and statewide collaborations. The President’s Report also will include a progress report on contracts and Facilities Management projects.
The Board will receive several information items, including “University Highlights,” a report from the Missouri Department of Higher Education on Academic Program Changes, and “2011 Friends of Scouting,” which highlights Southeast Missouri State University.
The Regents will consider a motion to go into a closed session for appropriate considerations. When the open session reconvenes, the final item of business will be consideration of a motion to adjourn.
