Southeast’s Sikeston Campus Hosting American Red Cross Blood Drive

Southeast Missouir State University-Sikeston will host a blood drive from 2 to 6 p.m. on Monday, April 5.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., March 29, 2010 – Southeast Missouri State University – Sikeston will host an American Red Cross blood drive from 2 to 6 p.m. on Monday, April 5.

Donors may schedule a time to give blood by visiting the Sikeston campus office or calling (573) 472-3210.

Healthy individuals who are at least 17 years old and weigh 110 pounds or more are eligible to donate blood.  Sixteen-year-olds with written consent from a parent or guardian are also eligible to donate.  Federal regulations require whole blood donors to wait 56 days between donations.  Platelet donors can donate as many as 24 times a year.  Donors should remember to bring positive identification, which they will be asked to present before donating.
