231 New Members Inducted into Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., April 22, 2009 – Two hundred thirty-one new members were inducted on April 19 into the Southeast chapter of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. Those inducted achieved a 3.5 grade point average during their first semester of college.
Phi Eta Sigma is a national scholarship honor society that recognizes high scholastic achievement during the first year of college and offers leadership and scholastic opportunities. The organization was founded in 1923 at the University of Illinois. There now are 350 chapters throughout the United States. The Southeast Missouri State University chapter was established in 1984.
