Jessica Reuter-Yount is currently Adjunct Professor of Horn at Southeast Missouri State University and a member of the Faculty Brass Quintet. She earned her Master of Music degree from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music where she studied both modern and natural horn with Professor Richard Seraphinoff. During her graduate studies she also worked with Francis Orval, professor of horn at the Musikhochschule in Trossingen, Germany, Michel Garcin-Marrou, former co-principal of the Orchestre de Paris, and Jeff Nelsen of the Canadian Brass. Jessie completed her bachelor of music in horn performance at Southeast Missouri State University where she studied with James Wehrman of the Saint Louis Symphony. While at Southeast, she also spent a semester abroad at the Friedrich Schiller Universität in Jena, working towards her Bachelor of Arts degree in German.
Ms. Reuter-Yount has given performances under the baton of renowned conductors Lawrence Renes, Robert Spano, Uriel Segal, and William Crutchfield, Arthur Fagan, and John Poole. She was principal horn with the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic for their 2008-2009 concert season. Recently, she was invited to perform as part of a natural horn sextet at the 2009 International Horn Symposium in Macomb, IL.
