2007 Annual Student Juried Art Assessment Exhibition

The Southeast Missouri Regional Museum at Southeast Missouri State University will host the Department of Art's Annual Student Juried Assessment Exhibition April 4-22.
The public is invited to attend the opening reception for the artists from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4. The event is free. Refreshments will be served. Awards will be presented in the following categories: 2D Color/Design Foundations, 3D Foundations, Sculpture, Graphic Design/Illustration, Digital Arts, Ceramics, Fibers, Printmaking, Painting, Drawing and New Genre. Best in Show, Distinguished Merit Award, Area Merit Awards and Purchase Awards also will be presented.
This year's juror, Barbara Nwacha, is an assistant professor of art in graphic design at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. Nwacha received her master of fine arts degree from the University of Iowa. She has selected 120 works from more than 300 entries. Many of the works on view will be available for purchase. The museum is located in Room 122 of Memorial Hall on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University.
