Admission Requirements

Applications for admission to the College of Education are in Scully 309

 

  • Must have 57 hours completed
  • EN 140 completed with a grade of "C" or above
  • ED 250 completed with a grade of "C" or above or in progress
  • ED 251 completed with a grade of "C" or above or in progress
  • PY 222 completed with a grade of "C" or above or in progress
  • Pass all sections of the CBASE with a score of 235 or greater on each section. Students who have a previous four year degree do not have to take the CBASE.
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Teacher Education candidates must not have any felony convictions nor be on disciplinary probation at the university.
  • The C-BASE tests include English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Writiting. All sections must bepassed within 2 years of the semester in which the student passed any section or all previously passed sections are void. If C-BASE is taken at a testing site other than Southeast, code it to be sent to Southeast (00250).
