Scholarship Information

For admission dates through January 2012:

Newly admitted undergraduate students (new and transfer) in good academic standing are eligible for the Office of International Education & Services scholarship, in the amount of $3,000.00 ($1,500.00 per semester), to begin your second regular semester at the University.  To receive this scholarship, you must be a full-time student and have a Southeast GPA of 2.5 or higher at the end of your first semester.  You will continue to receive the scholarship each fall and spring as long as you maintain full-time status and a 2.5 Southeast GPA or better.  Please note that you will no longer be eligible for the scholarship if you are awarded a full scholarship from outside sources.

Newly admitted graduate students (new and transfer) in good academic standing are eligible for the Office of International Education & Services scholarship, in the amount of $2,000.00 ($1,000.00 per semester), to begin your second regular semester at the University.  To receive this scholarship, you must be a full-time student and have a Southeast GPA of 3.0 or higher at the end of your first semester.  You will continue to receive the scholarship each fall and spring as long as you maintain full-time status and a 3.0 Southeast GPA or better.  Please note that you will no longer be eligible for the scholarship if you accept a graduate assistantship (GA) position.

For admission dates of March 2012 or later: 

Newly admitted undergraduate students (new and transfer) in good academic standing are eligible for the Office of International Education & Services scholarship, in the amount of $2,000.00 ($1,000.00 per semester), starting in your first fall or spring term.  To continue receiving this scholarship, you must be a full-time student and have a Southeast GPA of 2.5 or higher.  Please note that you will no longer be eligible for the scholarship if you are awarded a full scholarship from outside sources.

International students are also eligible for consideration for two merit scholarships, which cannot be combined with the Office of International Education & Services scholarship listed above. No separate application is required to apply for merit scholarships, but students must apply before the unique deadline referenced in the links below. These include:

  • Regents’ Scholarship: for new freshmen who will enter Southeast in the next available fall term immediately following high school completion; official SAT must be taken no later than December (freshman only)http://www.semo.edu/financing/scholarships.htm#regents
