New Staff Orientation
Human Resources conducts orientations for new staff at Southeast Missouri State University every quarter. Theorientation will include a brief history of the University and its mission, an overview of personnel policies and will include a luncheon starting at 12:00 noon. In addition, the orientation has been expanded to include sexual harassment training, training & development opportunities, campus safety and a campus tour. Newly hired staff will be pre-registered, automatically, for orientation and will receive notification of the date for which they are registered at their home department. If notification of registration is not received within two months of your hire date, please contact Dana Seabaugh at dnseabaugh@semo.edu or call (573) 651-5096.
Getting Started
New employees should report to Human Resources located on the4th floor of Kent Library to fill out the new hire paperwork. They must bring along with them the following documents:
- Personal Data
- Form W-4: Federal withholding allowance
- MO W-4: State of Missouri withholding allowance
- Form I-9: Employment Eligibility Verification (Please bring two separate documents that establish both identity and employment eligibility. See page three of the Form I-9 for a list of acceptable documents.)
- Check Distribution Form (We require direct deposit, so bring a check to attach to this form.)
