Mrs. Nichol joined Southeast Missouri State University in November 1995 in the temporary clerical pool.  Her first assignment was the Senior Secretary to the Dean of the College of Education and this position was made permanent 8 weeks later.  After working 2 ½ years in this position, she transferred to the Goals 2000 Fine Arts Grants as their Senior Administrative Assistant.  In January 2002, Debbie assumed the position of Senior Administrative Assistant in the Office of Residence Life and enjoys this this position and the work with students.  Debbie explains she enjoys working with the students, their parents, all of the Resident Assistants and Hall Directors plus other departments throughout the University because the variety of questions and opportunities to help are so diverse.

Outside the office, Debbie is married and the mother of 2 children (Tim and Amy) and has 3 grandchildren. She also has 2 step-children (Frank, Jr. and Angela) and has several step-grandchildren. She currently serves on the Hidden Valley Fishing Club’s Board of Directors as the secretary and co-chairs several committees.  Her hobbies include collecting “Cowboy Santas and Cowboy Snowmen” and traveling/spending time with her husband and children. Debbie and Frank attend Cape County Cowboy Church.
