Biography

Beth earned her B.A. in International Affairs with a minor in Spanish from Marshall University in Huntington, WV. After completing her undergraduate degree Beth studied Spanish in Mexico, and then attended the University of Kentucky where she earned her Master's from the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce. Once she completed her Master's Program, Beth joined the University of Kentucky's Geography Graduate Program where she took classes, held teaching and research assistantships, and ultimately became a Ph.D. candidate. From Lexington, Beth relocated to Cape Girardeau and began teaching a wide variety of courses for Southeast Missouri State University. (Honestly, when Beth says a 'wide-variety of classes she means it with no exaggeration....For example, she has taught classes ranging from 'Marriage Interaction' to 'Eldercare Experiences' to 'Intimate Environments' to a couple of Gerontology related classes to Physical and Cultural Landscapes, Economic Geography, World Regional Geography, and Cultural Geography to a UI100 class with a 'Sports and the Martial Arts' theme!)
