Bill 12-A-21 - Revising "Examinations and Grades" to establish a procedures section (Approved)

BRIEF SUMMARY:  This bill specifies the procedures portion of the existing Faculty Handbook section on Examinations and Grades (Chapter 3, Section C6).  

REVISING “EXAMINATIONS AND GRADES” TO ESTABLISH A PROCEDURES SECTION  

BE IT RESOLVED THAT:  subject to the passage and approval of both this bill and its companion bill establishing a corresponding “policy” section, Chapter 3, Section C6 of the Faculty Handbook be amended by replacing the existing content with the following “procedures” section (to follow the companion “policy” in the Handbook):  

Examinations and Grades Procedures  

A student seeking to take a final examination at an alternate time must submit a request in writing or by e-mail to the instructor.

Faculty members are encouraged to submit final grades to the Registrar's Office as soon as possible after the final examination and no later than the deadlines established by the Registrar’s Office.
