Stapleton Elected to UEDA Board of Directors

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Nov. 10, 2010 -- Dr. James Stapleton, executive director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and assistant professor of management at Southeast Missouri State University, was elected to the University Economic Development Association (UEDA) Board of Directors at their membership meeting Nov. 9 in Reno, Nev.

Candidates from across the nation were considered to serve in a planning and advisory capacity to this professional alliance.  Stapleton attended his first board meeting Nov. 10 at the close of the organization's annual summit. He will serve on the Board for a term of two years.

The University Economic Development Association is a growth oriented national organization of higher education, business and economic development professionals.  UEDA collaborates in order to achieve goals of enhancing economic development, creating community wealth and driving economic growth through innovation and entrepreneurship.
