Computing support is offered for the instruction, research, administrative and public service functions of the University. The Department of Information Technology assists with administrative applications, training, consultation, custom programming, e-mail, file and printer sharing, supervision of open computer labs and the design of the campus local area network.
The Center for Writing Excellence, located on the fourth floor of Kent Library, offers students the chance to receive input and advice on writing assignments of any length or type. In most cases, appointments are not required if your paper is less than ten pages in length. During busy times in the semester, you may want to plan ahead and get your paper done early.
At Southeast, students are provided with several open computer labs which are open, free of charge, to any Southeast student. Each open computer lab gives students access to MSOffice 2007; full internet access through "My Southeast," the Southeast student portal for news, information and e-mail.
Disability Services provides programs designed to help you become an independent learner, accomplish your educational goals no matter what obstacles or difficulties you may experience, become aware of the value of diversity and ensure you have access to all University programs should you have a disability or impairment. Through these programs, Disability Services hopes to promote learning, academic success and student retention.

Southeast Missouri Hospital provides on campus health services. The Campus Health Clinic offers basic health care services such as physical examinations and lab tests. Appointments can be made in advance to see a nurse practitioner. The clinic is located in Crisp Hall and open Monday through Friday with walk-in clinic hours from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.
Counseling services are provided at no cost to enrolled students. The counseling staff are licensed, professional counselors who are experienced in responding to a variety of personal and social issues as well as crisis intervention. University Counseling Services is located in Dearmont Hall and open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
ID Card Services, located at the Information Desk on the third floor of the University Center, is responsible for issuing campus ID cards. Standard hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. during regular class sessions. Located in the International Center, the Office of International Education and Services provides resources for international students, as well as any Southeast student interested in study abroad opportunities. The office is also the home to the Intensive English Program (IEP), where non-native English speakers can improve their skills prior to entering the University.
Southeast’s Kent Library is located next to Dearmont Residence Hall and across from Academic Hall on Normal Street. A classic example of New Formalist style architecture, the library houses a rich collection of print, multimedia and archival materials. Online subscription databases deliver instant access from any Internet connection to the full text of more than 6,600 magazines and scholarly journals. MOBIUS, a comprehensive network of Missouri collegiate libraries, provides users with access to more than 17 million books.
The programs offered through Learning Assistance Programs are designed to teach skills and strategies to help students become independent and active learners.
The Office of Minority Student Programs seeks, through its sponsorship of various programs and services, to help cultivate the best educational experience possible for all students and for minority students in particular. The Office of Minority Student Programs is actively involved in enrollment development and in the efforts on the part of the University to recruit and retain minority students. The office also seeks to expose Southeast students to a wide range of multicultural activities and works in cooperation with other academic departments, student organizations and the larger community to achieve this and other goals.
The Parking Services Unit of the Department of Public Safety issues parking permits and enforces parking regulations, coordinates shuttle schedules for student transit services and answers questions regarding parking rules and regulations at Southeast Missouri State University.

To keep you safe and crime low on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University, the Department of Public Safety along with the University Police Department offer you a Student Watch and Escort Service (S.W.E.S.), a Lighted Corridor, Emergency Call Boxes and the Outdoor Siren System.
The Southeast Bookstore is located on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University for you to purchase graduation items, clothing, gifts, textbooks, general books and other educational products and services.
The University offers students, faculty and staff general banking services and branch banking services through U.S. Bank.
Southeast is a place where you can educate and exercise your mind as well as maintain the fitness of your body. As part of Recreational Sports, the Fitness & Wellness Program assists you in achieving a higher quality of life by providing a variety of health awareness and educational opportunities and programs. You may take charge of your own wellness by participating in a Noon Walk, investing in a personal trainer, taking a yoga class, getting a massage or registering for one of the many workshops or events scheduled throughout the school year.
The Department of Telecommunications provides communication support services to University customers through telephone service, voice mail, fiber optic cabling, local area network cabling, cable TV cabling, pagers and cellular service.
Testing Services coordinates academic assessment and other testing programs which are offered to Southeast students and members of the community. Testing Services supervises Placement testing for new students, exit and placement testing for various University programs, the Credit by Exam program and correspondence testing as well high school outreach programs such as dual enrollment examinations
