Artists, photographers, designers and hobbyists all rely on Adobe Photoshop for graphic design work. If you want to work with graphics, Photoshop is the program you need to learn. Even if you’ve never used a computer for graphics before, our workshops will teach you how to use Photoshop with simple, detailed step-by-step instructions.

Beginning Photoshop

Join Jessica King as she explains how to get started using Photoshop. Learn how to navigate the interface, tools and palettes, crop and scale images, make selections, use layers, and retouch images.

Please note that while this class is for beginners, basic computer knowledge is recommended.

Intermediate Photoshop

In this class, Jessica dives even deeper into Photoshop’s photo editing tools. Learn how to use brushes, retouch images, color correct images using adjustments layers, work with masks, and work with blending modes.

Advanced Photoshop

In the final installment of The Photoshop Series you will learn advanced retouching techniques, and how to create shapes, create text, use filters, panoramic images, use content aware scaling, and a little about compositing.

Jessica King earned her bachelor’s degree in technical graphics, her master’s degree in industrial management and has taught graphics classes at Southeast. Jessica is currently the Webmaster for Southeast Health.
