Attend a Special Event
Southeast hosts several special events for High School Counselors in the fall. For more information on an event, call (573) 651-2539 or email specialevents@semo.edu.
September 13, 2013 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Southeast Missouri School Counselor Association (SEMOSCA) fall meeting at the University Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Dates and Deadlines
| August 1 | Students can start applying to Southeast Missouri State University for fall 2013. |
| August | Keep a head's up for your Admission Counselor's phone calls and emails, as fall travel scheduling starts this month! |
| September 8 | ACT test date (Registration deadline August 17, 2012) |
| October 6 | Show Me Day |
| October 27 | ACT test date (Registration deadline September 21, 2012) |
| November 1 | Recommended application deadline date for students wishing to meet the priority housing deadline. |
| November 10 | Show Me Day |
| December 1 | Deadline for the Governor's, Regents', and President's scholarship. Application must be postmarked/submitted electronically by this date to be considered for these scholarships. |
| December 1 | First Priority deadline for housing on campus |
| December 8 | ACT test date (Registration deadline November 2, 2012) *This is the last ACT score we will consider for Governor's, Regents', and President's academic scholarships. |
| January 1 | Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available online |
| January | Keep a head's up for your Admission Counselors phone calls and emails, as spring travel scheduling starts this month! |
| February 9 | ACT test date (Registration deadline January 11, 2013) *This is the last ACT score we will consider for all remaining academic scholarships. |
| February 15 | Recommended FAFSA completion date for students wishing to meet the March 1 financial aid priority processing deadline for Southeast. |
| February 16 | Show Me Day/Southeast Showcase |
| February 18 | Show Me Day (President's Day) |
| March 1 | Deadline for all remaining academic scholarships |
| March 1 | Endowed and Sponsored Scholarship application deadline |
| March 1 | Federal priority processing deadline for FAFSA |
| March 1 | Second priority deadline for housing on campus |
| April 13 | ACT test date (Registration deadline March 8, 2013) |
| April 20 | Show Me Day |
| Mid-April | Financial aid award letters are sent out to student's Southeast Key email accounts |
| May 1 | Return academic scholarship award agreement and accept financial aid award offers |
| May 1 | Last day to cancel housing and receive $125 back |
| June 8 | ACT test date (Registration deadline May 3, 2013) |
| June | Send final high school transcripts for students who have chosen to attend Southeast. |
| July 1 | Fall 2013 application deadline for students required to live in on-campus housing. Applications will continue to be accepted past July 1 for commuter students. |
| August 26 | Classes start for incoming freshmen fall 2013 |
